Pay a protection fee to start
Pay your protection fee to Gaia to start a cycle of IVF.
Gaia covers you for up to 3 cycles of IVF, each including one egg retrieval and all subsequent transfers, with all essential procedures, monitoring scans and medication. Simply pay a protection fee every time you wish to start a new cycle.

We’ll handle paying your clinic so you’ll never have to see a single bill. Also, we fix your costs upfront so you’ll always know exactly how much to repay Gaia when you have a child or decide to stop treatment.
Our Member support team is at hand to help you every step of the way through whatsapp, phone calls or email. You’ll also get access to a community of experts and fellow members, including 6 sessions of counselling, a session with an independent embryologist, nutritional support, in person and online events and peer support groups.
When you have a child, repay for the cycles you’ve had
Once you have a child, you’ll repay the fixed costs of the cycles you’ve had. So if you have a child after 1 cycle, you’ll only repay for 1 cycle. If you have a child after 2 cycles, you’ll repay for 2. Same goes for 3 cycles.
You can choose to repay as one lump sum or in monthly instalments over a maximum of 8 years. If you take advantage of our monthly payment plan, interest will apply.
Get protection if you don’t have a child
If you don’t have a child at the end of your third cycle, you won’t have to repay any of your treatment costs.
You’re also covered if your plans change: if you decide to stop trying after your 1st or 2nd IVF cycle, we’ll discount your cycle costs. The exact discounts available to you will be outlined in your personalised Gaia Plan.
After 1 cycle, you’ll only repay 75% of the fixed cost of 1 cycle.
After 2 cycles, you’ll only repay 50% of the fixed cost of 2 cycles.
After 3 cycles, you won’t pay any of your cycle costs.

Gaia offers plans that give you the best possible chance of success. Your eligibility for a plan depends on your treatment, your IVF history, and your BMI. Learn more about our eligibility here.
You are also able to request a quote regardless of whether you have a child, been through IVF before or you already have frozen embryos stored. We can't currently offer you a plan if you're in need a surrogate.
Each Gaia Plan is personalised, so we need some information in order to provide you with a quote. We’ll ask about your age, your upcoming IVF, any past IVF experiences, and your finances. We take great care in securing your data and only ask what we need to know to give you the best plan possible.
We have partner clinics who meet our high-level of patient experience and ensure seamless integration with our processes. If you already have a clinic we can also work with any HFEA clinic in the UK, and select clinics abroad.
To give you accurate pricing, we’ll need to get your treatment plan from your clinic. If you don’t have a clinic and treatment plan yet, don’t worry. Complete your profile as best you can, and fill out the rest later - we can help you select a clinic and guide you through the process.
Once you complete your profile, we’ll send you your quote. It will outline the cost of a protection fee, the fixed cost of a cycle, your discounts if you decide to stop trying after completing a cycle, and your monthly payments if you decide to take advantage of our financing down the line.
The protection fee is based on your personal details, your chosen clinic, and the type of treatment you plan to have. It is typically between £2000-4000. Paying this fee to start each cycle allows us to fix your cycle costs, pay your clinic all your treatment expenses, protect your IVF, and give you access to our Member support and community. It can be paid in a single payment or spread into 10 monthly payments, interest free. Find out more about our costs in our pricing page.
To be able to access the discount you must complete your cycle and have used all viable embryos. If you decide to stop your IVF before completing the cycle that you currently started, you will not be eligible for a discount.
Your fixed cycle cost is the cost of a cycle at your chosen clinic which is fixed upfront to include your retrieval, all medications and embryo transfers. Your fixed cycle cost is based on your clinic and the treatment that you plan to have. Find out more about IVF costs in our IVF calculator.
