Dr. Taraneh Nazem

Dr. Taraneh Gharib Nazem is a double board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility specialist and Obstetrician Gynecologist who cares for patients at RMA of New Yorkβs Westside office. Dr. Nazem graduated from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Medical Advisor for Gaia.
Dr. Nazem completed her undergraduate studies at Yale University, where she graduated with honors. She attended medical school at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she graduated with distinction in research. During her residency at NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Nazem focused on obstetrics and gynecology, was elected administrative chief resident, and graduated with the Robert F. Porges Honor Resident Award for her outstanding performance. She completed her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Throughout her career, Dr. Nazem has contributed research to many peer-reviewed publications, including the following:
- Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) for Monogenic Disorders: The Value of Concurrent Aneuploidy Screening
- The correlation between morphologic grading and implantation of euploid human blastocysts
- Understanding the Reproductive Experience and Pregnancy Outcomes of Lesbian Women Undergoing Donor Intrauterine Insemination
Dr. Nazem is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, and the American Medical Association.
